NAKED SIX RELEASE NEW VIDEO 'SONG OF THE CITY' AND ANNOUNCE UK TOUR

British rock ‘n’ roll trio Naked Six have unveiled the video for their raucous new single ‘Song of the City’. The track is taken from their incredible debut album Lost Art of Conversation, set for release on March 6th 2020 via Silver Lining Music. The band have also announced a special run of UK dates in support of the album release, taking place in April 2020.

‘Song of the City' acts as a passionate and fiery hunk of rock ‘n’ roll sublimity. It’s a blaring and ballsy anthem crammed full of wild and biting guitars, thundering bass and furious drums, further enhanced by vocalist Seb Byford’s irresistible swagger. The video was shot in the bands’ hometown of Manchester and, much like the song itself, shines a bright light on their city – the good parts and the bad.

Byford explains:

“We wrote this song around the time we first moved to Manchester. As beautiful a city as it is, there is also a dark cloud that hangs over these streets. You’ve only gotta take a walk through town to see this. There are people starving and dying out there, yet we treat it as if it were normal. Something has to change. This song is about a man who once had it all but then had his future snatched from him.”

The track follows the release of the balls-to-the-wall ‘Gimme Something’ – the first single to be taken from their upcoming debut album Lost Art of Conversation. Produced and mixed by Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Gallows, Counterfeit) at Broadfields Studio in Watford, Lost Art of Conversation has a cracking edge and bite throughout, laced with a plethora of different vibes that range from raw and relentless aggression to beautiful, serene meditation.

As well as the two stunning singles there’s the swirling psychedelia of ‘Grapevine Telegraph’, the adrenaline fuelled rage of ‘Split’, the stunning Pink Floyd-soaked tones of ‘Outside Looking In’ – this is a record that’s primed to set Naked Six apart from the crowd, straight out of the gate.

A briskly-bubbling stew with hints of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, bits of Nirvana and slivers of Queens of the Stone Age, Seb Byford (vocals/guitar), Tom Witts (drums/percussion) and Callum Witts (bass/keyboards) don’t just make the raucous racket of a six-piece. They also create bridges of empathy between them and their fans as they dive head-first into topics such as mental health and the importance of heartfelt communication in an increasingly fraught world - hence the title of the album.

Byford adds:

“It is so important to be open and not shut your doors, because a lot of people forget that everyone wants the same things - love, compassion, empathy…”

…and one raucous, entertaining, life-affirming journey. Lost Art of Conversation is precisely that and more – a debut which earmarks Naked Six as an exciting, electric, spiritually generous trio who want to deliver and share their perpetual psychic motion with everyone.

Naked Six are embarking on a select number of UK dates in April, providing fans with an opportunity to hear songs from the album performed live for the first time. The dates can be found below, and tickets will be available from Monday December 9th HERE
